Mycoplasma contamination is a significant problem for mammalian cell culture. Reports estimate mycoplasma contamination in up to 35% of all cell cultures. Unlike bacterial or fungal contaminations, mycoplasma cannot be detected by visual inspection and may not noticeably affect cell culture growth rates. However, mycoplasma infection has been shown to alter DNA, RNA and protein synthesis, introduce chromosomal aberrations and cause alterations or modifications of host cell plasma membrane antigens. 

Mycoplasma Scavenger Manual

1.It is suggested that the separate to 10ul each storage and the products should be prepared before using.

2.When using Mycoplasma Scavenger, it is suggested that cells¡¯ density should be maintained at 50 percent to 60 percent.

3.Recommended Mycoplasma Scavenger dilution ratio is 1:1000, for example that 10 mL medium added 10 Scavenger Mycoplasma Scavenger.

4.Removed the old medium, cleaned the cells with PBS, and added a fresh medium containing Mycoplasma Scavenger, 1 times one day, 3 days for continuous treatment, or 5~6 days for 5~6 days 1 times for 2 days. If cell contamination is very serious, it is necessary to extend the treatment time.

5.If cells are sensitive to Treatment or growth is obviously inhibited, please refer to the following recommended parameters to process cells.

6. Added the fresh medium when the treatment was over.

Storage

This product £¨CP-MS-0414)£© kept under 4 ¡æ for 6 months or kept under -20 ¡æ for 12 months .Upon delivery aliquot,Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.
